SWTOR Wreckage on Dantooine Achievement Guide

The Wreckage on Dantooine continues to expand in Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Update 7.8.1, bringing a new batch of achievements for players progressing through this long-term open-world system. While many of these achievements are tied to the dynamic encounters found throughout the biomes, others are hidden and require careful exploration, specific actions, or completing objectives under certain conditions. As with the rest of the biome progression, some tasks may require coordination with other players, while others can easily be missed if you don't know what to look for. This guide covers all currently known achievements in the Wreckage on Dantooine, including the hidden ones, and explains how to complete each requirement as efficiently as possible.

A special thanks goes to Sinrai for helping with the precise of location of these achievements!

A Botanical Mystery

This two-part hidden achievement is started by discovering the Botanical Research Notes along with a pair of Botanical Scanners in the nothern Sporefall Biome, in the tent where Doctor Losoo can be found among the Pterathki.

Once you've picked up the Scanner, you will be granted the A Botanical Mystery achievement. You can also now use the scanner freely from your inventory.

For the next part, I highly recommend to have reached the first reputation tier, so you can purchase immunity for both the Sporefall and Glacial biomes. If you do not have the immunity, the ticking damage of the area will disconnect you from your Scanner.
Now you have to discover the locations of 8 unusual flowers hidden around the biomes:

Serenaded by a chorus of croaks

In the northeast area of the Sporefall Biome, the unusual flower is can be spotted on top of a mushroom attached to the tall tree in the center.

Spying on a forward camp

Slightly north of the Sporefall Forward Camp, this unusual flower can be spotted above the walkway and can be seen from the camp itself.

Freezing above a mouth

In the western area of the Glacial Biome, above the entrance to the Glacial Trespass Cavern, you can spot the unusual flower blending in with the environment.

Calibrating aspirational growth goals

Facing the enormous flower in the Glacial Trespass Cavern, you can just about spot the unusual flower in among its petals on the left side.

Wilting in the heat

Next to the lavefall inside Lava Cave in the southeast of the Geothermal Biome, the unusual flower just sits there in all its lonesome self.

Side Note: Remember to pick up the datapad for the Aptitude achievement up on the walkway.

Enjoying the slightly toxic spray

North of the lake in the center of the Geothermal Biome, you can easily spot the unusual flower at the waterfall.

Overlooking fledglings, limned by moonlight

Above the eastern passageway in the Research Camp Perimeter, leading into the Research Camp itself, the unusual flower can be spotted overlooking the Orokeet Fledglings.

Observing the observers

Above the northern exit of the Research Camp, you can spot the unusual flower among the shrubbery on the side of the wreckage.

Expansive Research

When a biome transition event occurs, special buffs will appear at two fixed locations within the biomes. Collecting these buffs grants temporary empowerment that can provide useful advantages while progressing through the biome's dynamic encounters.

Each buff requires specific conditions to spawn, which will also affect the lost doctor achievement:

  • Sporefall biome pushed first 1➞ 2
    • Infected Flora, Sporefall
  • Geothermal biome pushed first 1 ➞ 2
    • Crystallized Toxins, Geothermal
  • Glacial biome pushed first 1 ➞ 2
    • Frozen Vents, Geothermal
  • Glacial biome pushed first 2 ➞ 3
    • Frozen Spores, Sporefall
  • Sporefall or Geothermal biome pushed first 2 ➞ 3
    • Nothing happens

Level Five Geological Aptitude

You might have been a little Curious George/Georgina and already found Sample 3M1-L3 in the northeast corner of the Wreckage on Dantooine.

Subsequently, you might also then have found the datapad that states you are not allowed to interact with the rock without a "Level Five or higher Geological Sptitude rating".

So, to find the Level Five Geological Aptitude, go to the Lava Cave in the sotheastern area of the Geothermal Biome. This is the same cave you can find one of the unusual flowers from the Botanical Mystery achievement.

Midway on the walkway, if you have a keen eye, you can find the Aptitude Badge. It's easy to miss!

You'll get this shiny Level Five Geothermal Sptitude badge, but you will lose it if you die, log out or leave Dantooine!

Once you have your shiny badge, climb the right side of the Research Camp to get up to the backside of the camp.

Simply approach the rock with your shiny badge, and 3M1-L3 will grant you the achievement!

No Sense of Direction

Alongside the Expansive Research achievement, whenever a biome transitions from one level to the next, it creates the correct conditions for specific researchers from one of three forward camps to wander off, participate in a specific dynamic encounter and then get lost in the process.

It's highly recommended getting together with other players, who's hunting for the same achievement. An organised group can help with the transition encounter, summoning players to the correct location, and making sure everyone is ready through ready-checks. Everyone has to send directions at the same time, or you will miss out!
